No set standard for data structure
Search engines and event syndicators use many different methods to filter event listings out of website content.
Web standards for events are not syncronized to calendar applications.
Goals and strategies
Publish standards for event data structure that include title/topic of event, Time format, Geolocation coordinates, Unique identifier
Expand on exisisting HTML formats
Define and publish specifications for event feeds
Confirm that data structure is consistnet with the requirements of calendar applications
Raise awareness of Event best practices among search engines to facilite reliable collection and parsing of data elements
